Georg said, purple is a colour that can describe many states. Purple is meat, and fish too. Purple is cold and warm at the same time, although it has no clear definition. In this manner edition #4 of this great series was mixed, it's an up and down of emotions.

What does the colour blue mean to me? Well the colour blue means big open skies, the deep blue ocean and, of course, the music of black America. With this mix I tried to put together a selection of music that I'd want to listen to staring into the sky or watching the waves. And yes there's some blues in there too.

The color 'chocolate' is brown, no doubt. But the color can be lighter or darker, just like chocolate itself can be milkier, softer and sweeter. Dark chocolate, made with more cacao on the other side, is harder and more bitter.
MSMS not only try to visualize the different shades of the color. They also try to describe the sensual process of eating chocolate including the desire for it and the potential regrets thereafter, using the atmosphere created by the different tracks but also the track titles ('I want sugar' or 'Wine and chocolate') and lyrics ('You're diabolical') themselves.
Enjoy the music and take a bite!

Hell yeah peeps, I'm really excited by "The Ride", the new artist album by my guest today MSMS, and as an added bonus they have mixed this month's show too. It's all about house music and the two guys named Marcus Schmahl & Michael Schickert got my pulse racing with their stunning track selection. But you need more than some good tracks to make a perfect DJ mix, this one has all you need and I like to say, it's perfect, you could listen again and again.
Apropos "The Ride", The record incorporates thirteen original compositions and features the distinctive vocals of Terry Grant (Bedrock, Baroque etc) on three of the tracks. Throughout the LP there are stylistic swings from house to ambient electronica, to tech house and disco but all are delivered beautifully by MSMS. There is no doubt that Schmahl & Schickert are a talented pair and this LP cements their position as a force to be reckoned with. "The Ride" was dropped on Plastic City end of June.

This month's Colair.FM guest mix was contributed by Mr Burnski, exclusively of course. I was really impressed during the first listen, track selection and mixing skills are brilliant. Well, I don't want to spend so many words, let the music speak! Tracklist is not available.
The sun came up only one time between Chris Hreno's guest DJ set in Dresden and this broadcast. After an amazing night spinning records in the club with his Montreal mate Colin de la Plante as the duo Valerie Temple Boyd, he now contributes a mix to Colair.FM, with some works of genius straight out of his record bag. Chris is a talented artist born in Montreal and living in Berlin now, he has collaborated with Mathew Jonson and Cobblestone Jazz and released on Sound Architecture and Fur Trade to name a few. He has performed at various clubs and festivals including Der Visionaries, Arena, Watergate, Tresor, Stereo, Effenaar, The City Is Yours, and Montreal's Mutek Festival. Chris is a nice guy on his way to conquer the world, and I appreciate his short stop to spin records and hope you love the next 80 minutes of quality music. Cheers!

Do you know of lucid dreaming? Wikipedia say "A lucid dream is any dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming. [..] In a lucid dream, the dreamer may be able to exert some degree of control over their participation within the dream or be able to manipulate their imaginary experiences in the dream environment.[2] Lucid dreams can be realistic and vivid." Now that this is clear, which music would you turn on in a lucid dream? Do you guess your choice would impact your dream?
Well, a lot of questions to describe today's Colair.FM guest mix. But I guess these questions explain the trip you will start on turning the show on at its best. Please think of a lucid dream where Nadja Lind decides of the music to deepen your dream, to conduct your emotions, to navigate you to a destination you never dreamed of. Nadja is part of the duo Klartraum the German translation of lucid dream. Her new album "Secret Moon" is ready to conquer the market and will be dropped on her own imprint Lucidflow in May. It's spring, let's say it's coming quietly. Spring means regeneration, the growing green and the tepid air amuse our mind, saddened by the winter. Not surprisingly the new Colair.FM dj mix comes out of Spain with a tipped fresh sunny house vibe. AFFKT turns the wheels of steel, the Valencian DJ bursts in with energy and German influence, striking the table with a metallic thud and demanding, with talent, skill and competence, a prominent place among the stormy scenarios that settle the designs of the best electronics, the one that knows no boundaries of style and is conceived as an abstract transmission of feelings and emotions. Without the need to discredit classic or renown, through sound composition and experimentation, AFFKT gains access to unedited synthetic and organic spaces, where music finds new ways of expression on the dance floor and beyond.
Refresh your mind and get ready for the new season!

For this special occasion I thought about a music goodie, something underground, something housish, something techno and something cool... et voilá, I found the music of Gavin Herlihy. And indeed Gavin Herlihy is not unfamiliar in the electronic music scene: his tracks stands next to others of massive influence such as Seth Troxler, Ricardo Villalobos, Jamie Jones and Pete Tong. However, let the music speaks for itself and make up your own mind about Gavin`s style.
And for more Gavin Herlihy turn on the next Sunday Eve Show on 19th of February. The bloke himself will be in the show and speak about music, music and more... His latest releases are on Culprit and Crosstown Rebels out this month. Get it...

"This mix features all 4 tracks from the forthcoming ep", says the DJ "plus a sneak preview of an unreleased track by Humandrone soon to be released on Croatian label Burek mixed together with a few of the tunes that are rocking Freche Fruchte’s world at the moment!!!" So far the theory, lets enjoy the mix...
And for those of you who liked the sound of Alex Alterskye I recommend the first release which is out 16th of January as well as the next Sunday Eve Show since Alex will be there in words and sounds...

Colair.FM comes along with a cherry of the cake in order to say goodbye to the year 2011... It`s doubtlessly the best farewell goody I ever imagine for my show: take my DJ heros Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves, Lee Curtiss and Seth Troxler and get their definitions of music put together in a new mix. Wrap the thing up and there you have the latest Visionquest mix. This promotion mix especially for Colair.FM was recorded live at the Fabric Club in London in March 2011 and features timelessness songs, tracks from the past and the present to telling the story of these four great DJs. To quote Reeves "The start is very representative of the Visionquest DJ sound and the end shows the eclectic sound of our label. It goes from music for clubs to music for life." Exactly music for our lives!!! Have a happy x-mas, folks...
The future vision of the world is so clear before my eyes: "Robots will take over, gain control and rule the whole music scene!!!" - What a perspective! But don`t you worry folks, as long as it`s Robot Koch, we`re saved...
And indeed, the man himself, Robot Koch, makes it sure. Whether being a labelfounder, working as a producer of many different artists internationally or performing as solo artist, Robot Koch is groundbreaking in every way.
Being involved in so many projects, it`s hardly imaginable the man sleeps. Like a Robot, he told me once, hence the affinity of robot and Robot Koch.
"The Other Side" is his latest strike and it`s out now. An impression of Robot`s skills in mixing comes along in my show. Colair.FM gets you an one hour special Robot Koch exclusive mix. Be the first one to listen and enjoy the sound of the future... yeah, heeeeeee!

Colair.FM on air with a mission to distribute the sounds of yet unknown and yet undiscovered talents. Keep an eye on Tunisia for DJ Bolth who contributes 60 minutes of today`s show. On my way through the jungle of music on Facebook I came across the sounds of DJ Bolth. Soon I got in contact and found out about the man, his music and his ambitions.
Four years ago Bolth started as a DJ mixing various genres of music. After a phase of finding himself and letting the soul go, he felt mostly influenced by Tech House and Deep - especially the downtempo sounds are the ones of interests. Bolth has plans and wants to reach the people with working on his own music, producing and performing live.
Enjoy listening and have fun with sounds from north Africa :)

Radio 1 named Jordan Peak as ‘one to watch’ in 2011. Reason enough for Colair.FM to watch clearly and keeping an eye on the fresh blood.
The youngster was raised amidst stacks of 12” vinyl and surrounded by house music from his earliest days. This extremely promising newcomer to the dance music scene was well schooled in the art of groove long before he started making music himself.
Focusing on low slung house music full of swing and swagger, Jordan has a knack for creating raw analogue charm and already encompasses a growing spectrum of sounds. Currently in the midst of a speedy ascent through the production ranks, his output already includes an intriguing set of releases, for a UK act, on labels such as Robsoul, Raum...Musik, Saved and Tsuba. This is quite an introduction to music making, considering that Jordan only released his first record in late 2009. His latest release is called 'Low Ride EP' on One Records.
And so it is, Ladies and Gents, the next 60 minutes belongs to Jordan Peak. Presenting twelve grooving tracks in the mix. Whoooaaaa!

Rising up to take his place as king of the underground, DJ W!LD opens the doors to ‘Palace’, his debut artist album that is bursting with raw layers of funk and pure jacking beats and perfectly captures the infectious sound he is renowned for.
Guillaume Duchastel de Montrouge, aka DJ W!LD, is part of the infamous Cocoon agency and the newest resident at Circo Loco in DC10, joining last year alongside names such as Seth Troxler and Jamie Jones. The past 2 years have marked a swift comeback for W!LD, a longtime producer and International DJ that made his mark for being elusive, unpredictable, and truly underground.
Heavily involved in hip-hop and graffiti trends and street culture, his DJ W!LD alias is wink to the cult motion picture "Wild style", a portrait of graffiti pioneers to an authentic soundtrack of late 70's hip hop New Yorkers. Born in 1975, his journey into music started in the 80's in French town Dijon, where he was immersed in a world of funk, disco, and groovy beats. In the early 90's, Laurent Garnier appeared on the Dijon scene with his residency at L'Enfer and initiated the first steps of a new rave culture in the hexagon. Deeply touched by this revolution and the music of the godfathers of Detroit techno and Chicago house, W!LD
discovered his future musical route.Gathering the force of a tornado. ‘Palace’ conveys DJ W!LD’s enthusiastic spirit and perpetual momentum to master his craft and reach the top of his game. Today's Colair.FM guest mix is a homage to his new 'Palace' album. Listen and you want to have it!

With the slogan "we want to bring the sexiness back to the dancefloor" the two teams are preparing their latest strike. And here we go: on the decks to the right there`s Gadi Mizrahi and Zev Eisenberg forming the Wolf + Lamb DJ team, on the decks to the left there`s team Soul Clap who are Eli Goldstein and Charles Levine, DJs themselves and related to the W + L family as well.

Since "Fleur Blanche" Orsten is the talk of the town.
Orsten is French-Finnish and discovered American Hip Hop in early years. Soon he collected samples, formed sounds and became music addicted. Than he created rap instrumentals and produced electronic sounds of the cinema in the 60s and 70s. Later Orsten entered the electronic music scene and started releasing house tracks.
Arriving in the present "Fleur Blanche" bejewles this exclusive mix and luckily it also can be found on his debut album ´Cutworks` where Orsten achieves new dimensions of the art of cinematics, hip-hop and traditional instrumentation. And speaking about ´Cutworks` the title of the album refers to Orsten`s technique of cutting and pasting which forms the basis of his work.
Have fun with this mediative mix on Colair.FM and see you soon.

Tonight Daniel Steinberg (alias known as Harry Axt) contributes a special and exclusive guest mix for Colair.FM and either way behind the nom de plume hides a rather shy producer as well as a DJ of talent and keen sense of modern Techno from Berlin. Steinberg`s way of putting exotic samples together with strong beats, works out successfully.
Started as a simple guest at several parties in the capital, Daniel Steinberg grew mature and changed sides and in the end he became a DJ, hosted parties, produced and published on various labels. He seldom wallows in the limelight nevertheless he`s dragging people along with his sounds and that`s making him a successful artist. Let`s get dragged along and get a pictures of Daniel Steinberg`s sound.

The local hero Bons (formerly Bonsai) contributes an exclusive mix for tonight`s Colair.FM show. What`s there to expect? Let`s sum it up in a few words: Expect an explosive, energetic and racy mix where loads of tracks stand side by side together in only 60 minutes.
Bons moves in the Dresden scene for years now and according to him his name was first mentioned on a flyer from 1994 - taken aside private parties or even school discos in even earlier years. Since than he rises up and came far through clubs in and around Dresden.
When asking Bons about his influences or inspiration in music, he focusses on the beat... an awesome beat where timing device doesn`t matter. If ever all things can be that easy!!!

In order to stabilise the English-German-Friendship I want to contribute an artist whose roots dates back to both nationalities. Born and raised up in London Mark Henning`s daily life as a DJ now takes place in Berlin – the metropole of modern and young electronic music. Great! It gives us electronic music lovers the chance to catch him up live in clubs, bars or record stores around the hood.
His DJ activities concentrate on either recording for various international labels (Soma, Trapez, Freude am Tanzen, Einmaleins) or playing at clubs (Fabric, Watergate, Panorama Bar, Lux) and festivals (in Portugal, Austria and Switzerland) all over the world.
Mark`s style is settled somewhere between house and techno. You`ll reckon when listening to his latest mix here on Colair.FM.
Lets face it: Mark`s latest mix can be described as racy and techy and it definitely gets your feet on the dancefloor and kicks asses.

Attention Attention, we detect a Techtonische Plattenverschiebung. The metaphor somehow reminds me on my geographical lessons in school ages ago. But the similarity in shifting vinyl and plate tectonic is extremely funny: both leads to moving processes in their own ways.
Joking aside Techtonische Plattenverschiebung moves people with minimal-electro-techhouse-sounds. In more specific words it is a match of electronic music with all those familiar sounds coming from your noisy environment. Sounds you may often hear but seldom perceive with consciousness. Behind the mind-boggling name hides the two DJs Amac Garbe und Oliver Graf. Both personified with their concept of combining everyday sounds with electronic music.
In deed they shift vinyl and people move - and somehow it could awake the impression they move plates as well. After all see for yourself and tune in Colair.FM.

This time Ric Colair presents an one hour guest mix from AG AUFLEGEN – a quartet consisting of the DJs Macoma, Jaycup, Säschie and Apu. Since 2006 the boys are together for making music: mixing, sampling and producing sounds. With a proven record of success: ElektroTekknoKlash publishes their records and the DJs themselves travel from one club to another. Their sounds ranges from well-familiar styles and experimental newish stuff. Anything goes … but be in time with the taste of the people, be authentic and be ambitious.
Whoever got the chance to experience AG AUFLEGEN should adapt oneself to expressive and complex sounds, sounds where either dancing or listening is definitely allowed. So is their latest mix for Colair.FM – be excited and tune in…

DJ Wilhelm is young, fresh and unconsumed - so far... Until he s making the big deal we profit from his sounds. What is his sound like? It s mainly deepening house and techno though other genres play important roles in his mixes as well. This could be dubstep or techstep or funky - to name only a few.
While being busy changing the vinyl on the decks, he also gets involved with Conne Island in Leipzig and names himself a co-operator of the label doumen records.
Basically DJ Wilhelm likes modern clubmusic and this is also his orientation and inspiration: people in clubs, moving, dancing, having fun while they listening to good music. His sets are hip and modern and for more, just play them by yourself and make up your own mind...
